Looking for a way out of persistent stress or anxiety?

Welcome! I offer safe, supportive, effective counseling and coaching to men and women who want to feel more secure, more at ease, and more empowered. I work with clients of all backgrounds, many of whom excel at their working, family, learning or teaching roles, yet are aware that stress or anxiety may be impacting their health or holding them back.

I specialize in treating all forms of stress and anxiety including panic attacks, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress, concerns about medical conditions, and professional burnout. Along with support in these areas, my clients benefit from practical, evidence-based skills for working with difficult emotions, building confidence and self-esteem, navigating challenging relationships, and cultivating a genuine sense of movement and satisfaction in life.

If any of this resonates with you, let's talk! I offer a free phone or video consultation (your choice) and I look forward to discussing ways we can work together to get you the relief, ease and freedom you deserve.

I AM PART OF A GROUP OF COLORADO COUNSELORS OFFERING DISCOUNTED RATES TO MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND THOSE UNDER CURRENT FINANCIAL STRAIN DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE. DON'T HESITATE TO REACH OUT.

Bio

Jonathan led technology and business turnaround projects in the United States and Australia before realizing the challenges encountered in his consulting work were actually preparing him for a career in psychotherapy.

Jonathan's training and experience in the field of mental health have included clinical experience and practice in Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy, Group Psychotherapy and Gestalt Therapy, with specialized training in Somatic Experiencing®, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Suicide Assessment and Intervention.

Jonathan has trained at the Noeticus Counseling Center and Training Institute®, worked as a youth advocate at Mental Health Partners, counseled college and graduate students at Naropa University, led Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Smart Recovery®, and other mental health recovery groups, and provided individual and group therapy to inmates at Boulder County Jail. He has worked in private practice since 2018.

Jonathan graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University and holds a master's degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addiction Counselor in the state of Colorado, and a member of both the American Counseling Association and the Colorado Counseling Association.

Rates

I offer a free in-person or phone consultation (your choice) and a standard $140 rate for initial and subsequent sessions. I don't believe in exorbitant intake session rates and I think every client should be able to meet and talk with their prospective therapist once without any fee.

I am not in-network with any insurance plans, but I'm happy to provide clinical receipts for clients who would like to submit them for out-of-network reimbursement. I accept all major credit and debit cards, including those linked to Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
